About the Hoff

My favorite childhood book was Green Eggs & Ham, by Dr. Seuss.  I would read this book with my mom, I pretty much had every page commited to memory.

My current favorite book is I am the Messenger, by Markus Zusak.  I enjoy reading this book because the main character is very easy to relate to and his journey is very interesting.  Plus the ending is extremely original.  I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good book.

I have normally enjoyed reading books assigned to me in class.  I really liked The Watsons go to Birmingham:  1963 and The House of the Scorpion.  They were both very fun to read.  On the other hand one book I did not have fun reading was Speak.  I thought the book was extremely slow to develop and that the emotional parts were way overdone.

My goals for reading this semester are to read several books.  A few that will teach me something, and a few that will be a fun read.  I also want to read at least one level three book.  I have set these goals because I want to improve my reading skills even more, and I think that if I reach these that they will.
